Hi. I'm Vera. Sloane's best friend, professional crisis manager, and — according to one particular architect — impossible to have a normal conversation with.

I run reputation management for a living. Client narratives, damage control, keeping people's worst moments out of the headlines. I'm very good at my job. I'm also very good at arguing with Kane Sinclair, which nobody asked me to be good at, but here we are.

Nine years of Sloane's family dinners. Nine years of that man being unbearably composed about everything, including things that should not be approached with a blueprint. We do not get along. We have never gotten along. I'd like that on the record before anything else happens.
